Rebuttals of the Week #50: ‘Dear Canada, what on Earth are you doing?’

Mark Tremblay: “Dear Canada, look in the mirror. Your media is corrupt, your journalists ignore facts, your Prime Minister is a hypocrite and you re-elected him and validated his behavior. Why? What exactly is it that you are trying to prove? In America, we see a leader who plays dress-up in other countries, humiliates Canadians on the world stage, does not practice what he preaches, promises grandiose spending and higher taxes, does not face any consequences for being racist (four times) and has no regard for the truth. Dear Canada, what on Earth are you doing?”

Going to Getugly: People watching this from outside of Canada have to understand that the quality which a large portion of Canadians cherish above all others is passive conformity. In other words, Canadians don’t think. They look around to see what attitudes allow them to believe they’re one of the ‘good’ people and which will assure them social affirmation with zero risk of criticism. And they adopt whatever those attitudes happen to be.

And since Canadians have been conditioned for decades by their atrocious media, the education system and the dominant political class to unquestioningly equate ‘progressive’ Left ideology with moral excellence they will always mindlessly support whoever represents that ideology.

For an American reference, picture a country in which the majority of voters in the most vote-rich region of the country think Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a genius.

And so we now have a situation in Canada where people will literally justify voting for a politician who has unequivocally proven himself to be a lying, corrupt, incompetent, shallow buffoon because they don’t want to “risk” voting for the other guy.
